Peter Walker specialises in the sale of early Australian paintings and items of historical interest as well as contemporary art.

His clients include major regional and state galleries, libraries and private collectors from around Australia and overseas. The premises in Walkerville consists of 2 galleries; the first is dedicated to art exhibitions, while the second is dedicated to the sale of antiques and eccentricities.

This site is dedicated to artworks hanging in the gallery, and while every effort is made to ensure that this website is kept up to date some items may not get included immediately. Some pieces sell to collectors known to us before appearing on the wider market, so please let us know if you are interested in a particular artist, or artform so we can contact you.

Valuations:

Peter Walker is approved to value Australian and Australian related paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, architectural drawings, manuscript maps and urban art from 1770, including pre 1850 Australiana and items of historical significance in wood, metal, bone and ivory, excluding furniture, for the Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program.
